Currie Cup Preview – Round 8

No witty intro’s here, just business!!

Currie Cup Preview – Sharks vs Bulls

WEEK 8 PREVIEW Life has hit an all-time low here at FRS, last week we successfully called 0 out of 3 and completely flummoxed all of you! Our plan worked! Now that we’re done playing around, we’re going to make some actual predictions this week. Some predictions that might actually come true…. (for a change) […]

The Rugby Championship – Round 5 Preview

Only two rounds remain in the inaugural Rugby Championship and New Zealand find themselves in an essentially unassailable position at the top of the log. No matter there is still pride to be played for so lets look ahead at the weekends fixtures and see whose pride is going to come out tops.

Currie Cup Preview – Round 7

Now that’s more like it! Last week we called an impressive 2 out 3 correct in terms of results but then strangely enough, we all went backwards with our Fantasy teams… Go figure. But one place where there will be no backwards motion this weekend – on the rugby field!

Round Four of the Rugby Championship kicks off this weekend and we are gradually getting used to the new four team format even if we haven’t quite got used to the name. This weekends action sees the Springboks take on the World Champions on their home turf while Australia welcome some Argentinians to their backyard.

Currie Cup Preview – Round 5

The sum total of last weeks results basically put everything we thought we knew about this year’s tournament in doubt.  Here’s what we learnt: Western Province are much better than we thought. The Blue Bulls are not as good as we thought. Griquas can play 2 halves of rugby. The Lions don’t need SARU to […]

Currie Cup Review – Round 4

The Currie Cup is serving up more upsets than a drunk waitress at Hooters.  We’re not complaining.  The mediocre versus mediocre 6-team format is working a treat.  There are no underdogs this year.  Even the Griquas who stuttered out the blocks, gave the Lions the run around at Ellis Park a stadium named after a cool-drink. […]
