Brumbies Player Profile – Ben Alexander

Ben Alexander Rugby Brumbies

About Ben

At 120kg Ben Alexander is the fourth biggest prop named Ben after Ben Franks (121kg), Ben Afeaki  (137kg) & the obese Ben Tameifuna (155kg).

Alexander has been fiercely loyal to the Brumbies and will overtake George Smith (142 caps) as the most capped player if he plays eleven games in 2017. At the beginning of 2017 he had 132 Super Rugby Caps.

Even more impressive than his caps is his try scoring record. The prop has scored 21 Super Rugby tries. That's enough to get him barred from the front-rowers union!

While South Africa has to make do with Jannie du Plessis who walks from scrum to scrum other teams have guys like Alexander. Equally solid in the scrum, Alexander also tackles and carries the ball which is handy in rugby.

At 32 years old he's got a couple more seasons in him.
