Here are my scout picks for FOX Fantasy Super Rugby for Round 7 along with a requested description why each player was selected! (Just like the old days ey readers … Unfortunately time doesn’t allow me to do that any longer, BUT at least we still doing the Scout Picks !)
My picks have been pretty decent the last round if I say so myself, I can only hope that this form continues this week as I try guide you to fantasy success!
Please note that not all teams have been released by the time these picks were made-please ensure you check that your selections are indeed starting for their respective teams.

Here are my picks for this weekend
1, Scott Sio (Brumbies) – Back from injury and with great match-ups in the next two weeks , Sio could reward you this week.
2, Adriaan Strauss (Bulls) – Bulls have not been too great , but against the Sunwolves there should be a maul try or two meaning, Strauss should be your man this week if you looking for a hooker.
3, Jefferey Toomaga-Allen(Hurricanes)-Been solid as a rock, a safe pick as your prop this week.
4, Jason Jenkins (Bulls) – Playing against Sunwolves for a forwards orientated team -enough said.
5,Brodie Retallick (Chiefs)– Unusual pick as I rarely would choose a player in a tough match up, however with the Stormers playing a more expansive game, I feel if both sides play “positive rugby” it could be a try fest with Retallick being among’st the points.
6, Chris Alcock (Brumbies) – With most of the top backrow players on bye, Alcock provides us with a sound backrow option at a cheap price against a shaky opposition in the Rebels.
7, Matt Hodgeson (Force) – Playing the Kings gives him a fantasy threat this week.
8, Steven Luatua (Blues) – Played well before receiving his red card and suspension, Luatua should come back with a bang and deliver some decent fantasy points.
9, TJ Perenara (Hurricanes) – Best scrumhalf option, always delivers points
10, Bernard Foley (Waratahs) -Honestly the hardest pick this week, I dont see many alternatives and Beauden Barrett is not kicking for goal, Foley should be a safe bet.
11, Henry Speight (Brumbies) – Good match up against the Rebels, reckon he will cross the line once or twice
12, Chance Peni (Force) – Playing the Kings, if Peni starts he should reward your fantasy team well.
13, Jan Serfontein (Bulls) – Playing against the Sunwolves and Serfontein is quality.
14, Melani Nanai (Blues) – Risky selection but may pay off if the Highlanders vs Blues game opens up.
15, Ben Smith (Highlanders) – Again, I think Smith is a safe pick against the Blues this week if the game opens up, Ben will be a great selection this week.
